See this link for the advertisement of our Dallas Naval Air Station/Naval Weapons site, which is on the auction block. Wasn't this place a historic site in the recent past? Weren't we trying to preserve history of the Cold War?
Check EPA toxic info for this address and for "Vought" Dallas to see the specific contaminants within this property, and see toxic discharge into Mountain Creek Lake and particularly Cottonwood Bay. Quite illuminating for neighbors, particularly.
Personally, I think it is a disgrace that the Navy and city of Dallas allowed this property to attain and maintain ruin such that it is now only fit for industry which will further pollute it.
If I lived in this vicinity of this site, I would be most concerned about this property's industrial future and rally my neighbors.
Remember - natural gas drilling is coming!
Location: Dallas, Texas Topics: Dallas Naval Air Station, NWIRP, Mountain Creek Lake, oil and gas drilling, Oak Cliff industry and environment. WHY DOES OAK CLIFF HAVE TWICE THE BREAST CANCER RATE COMPARED TO THE REST OF TEXAS?
