RUINED AND READY FOR RE-DEVELOPMENT!

Today I found an official, public 2008 document on the Internet, which described the Dallas Naval Weapons aquifer. From my understanding of the report-reading the carefully written lines and between the lines- the aquifer is ruined. A large mass of VOC matter is within, and the clay is so saturated that water can't be pumped out. Millions of gallons have been pumped into the aquifer-in an unsuccessful attempt to clean it. The aquifer has been reclassified so it will not continue to cost the Navy as much money as in the past; and humans are to stay away from it.
I read in another official report that contamination has migrated from the aquifer affecting groundwater. Not a good diagnosis for any of us-especially Grand Prairie citizens (because of vapor).
I cannot express the depth of my frustration that our community is not talking about this. Does our local leadership offer any direction about the future of this area?
And remember, the Navy hopes to auction off this weapons facility soon. Don't you agree it's all cleaned up, ready for re-development?
