A MERE ONE PER CENT POISON!

It's so interesting to see how creative people hired by the government to deal with govt "mistakes" do their jobs. One hates to say they "spin" facts, but they certainly try to present facts in the best light. For example, Navy scientists, back in 2003, came up with a formula which identified the amount of toxic solution the Dallas Naval Air Station drained/poured into Mountain Creek Lake. Seems the pollutants equalled merely 1.1% of the lake's volume. One percent...Hmm...How would you like to bathe in 1% flammable fuel-laced water or drink iced tea laden with 1% non-specified petroleum product? Or take a deep breath of air with 1% ammonia and mercury? (We may be doing that now!) Yes, the Navy knows co-efficients, but do they know poison? In other words, it's not just the amount, guys, it's the poison! Does this formula have something to do with the percentage of responsibility the Navy accepts for purposeful (not accidental) damage to the lake? Surely not. And another question, how could anyone know-much less prove-the volume of chemical waste dumped into the lake over decades?
