Chemicals and Rad Materials=Drugs and Explosives

Heard an interesting report-this time on tv. A journalist was discussing the US/Arizona immigration situation and noted that fewer folks are immigrating to take minimum wage jobs (like working in chicken plants-what a picture!). But, there are still many seeking to benefit from the resources of the United States.
Sadly, the two things most desired by the highest per cent of immigrants to the US are DRUGS and EXPLOSIVES/WEAPONS!
(I find this hard to believe, but do accept the criminal intent of many.)
So, I'm thinking that the sale of these items will be profitable to unscrupulous, "organized" entrepreneurs here in the States; and that organized crime could be focusing on chemicals, chemistry labs , metals, and radioactive materials, as these could be used to produce contraband.
Strict, serious environmental and chemical regulation is needed now more than ever.
Texans and Texas legislators, are you listening?
Our pro-business philosphy and "toothless laws" make us easy prey, not just for states wanting to dump radioactive waste here, but for organized crime and terrorists.
Call me a conspiracy theorist if you will, but it's better than being naive; or getting rich from graft while fellow citizens are endangered.
