Who'll Be Moving On?

Notice the intimidation of opponents of natural gas drilling/toxic emissions on view in news/blog comments. Wonder where that perspective is coming from-the industry, lobbyists, state agencies?
The more intimidation shown....the more impact opponents* are having and the more threatening we/they seem to those with financial interest in drilling.
Thought for the day: If you have a sincere question about your safety, do not yield to intimidation! One does not have to have a science degree to protect self and family from benzene!
The drilling conflict is about safety, from the public's viewpoint, but is in reality as much about money. Tax money delivered to schools-a good thing-but a greater amount enriching individuals like lobbyists and even a STATE REPRESENTATIVE.
Reread that: a state representative of the people
of Texas. We pay his salary to speak and vote on our behalf.
It doesn't take a government degree to know what a representative is and should and SHOULDN'T do...
If you have lingering concerns about drilling in our communities, do not accept the label "fear monger" or person refusing to "move on..." now that the TCEQ "facts" obtained in freezing weather are on record.
We'll see who'll be moving on.
By the way, Ft Worth's mayor is most competent to order further independent testing of the air in his city. Prudent, fair, smart...I like this person!

Note: I'm not opposed to natural gas drilling if it can be done safely. But frankly, I wonder how we can avoid underground environmental damage affecting water supply. The current process with chemical erosion or explosion places humans in danger from both air and water supply. In my opinion, undeniable long-term danger lies ahead if present methods prevail.
Surely all Americans seeking relief from dependence on foreign oil want a cheap, safe natural gas supply; but as is often the case-we lack across-the-board technical ability. You know, reality is just that - and we must face it.
