TALKING POINTS: DON'T LEAVE OUT THE BS ! (Barnett Shale)

I'm hearing smart people say that we need to oust Gov Perry in order to have hope of improving the environment-particularly in reference to natural gas drilling. Are these folks for Kay Bailey? No, two others are running and one is preferred by those fighting drilling.
Gov Perry is an appealing personality, and I am fine with many of his views. I know he cares about Texas, jobs, and progress. In fact, if it wasn't for the environment issue, I'd likely be a Perry supporter... (My husband is!) The trouble is I'm not willing to cough and wheeze my life away, only to die of cancer along with thousands of others to get his low state tax rate.
It's just so NOT WORTH IT!
I also hear that concerned citizens hope and expect EPA will intervene on behalf of Texans soon. If EPA does this, I wonder if the candidates will begin to appeal to our higher nature about clean air and water. A Damascus road conversion of sorts by candidates? And hey-maybe even the citizenry!
This should be an interesting campaign. I call it YOUR POCKETBOOK OR YOUR PREMATURE, TORTUROUS DEATH VOTE-sure to bring out the peeps from all over our muddy or drought-ridden, smoggy state.
All in all, I think it is true that Gov Perry has sustained the long history and tradition of Texas businesses' looting of the people's resources; and even added to the legacy with his unique vision and arrogance. (So sad because his wife is a caring nurse and knowledgeable about current health issues, children's needs, etc.) Poor Gov. Perry and Kay H, also. They need so many millions to run for office; and then must find backers for their "causes," and donors to rebuild the charred mansion in Austin. Can needy citizens with drilling rigs in their backyards foot these bills? No, but oil and gas companies surely can...and do. Follow the money and the path to power is brightly illuminated!
Be ready when our governor's campaign calls you...Ask his plans for the Barnett Shale and future laws to protect Texas residents. Heck, ask about present laws and exemptions for oil and gas company compliance. See if his people can gab about something not on their talking points outline that the campaign would really rather not discuss.
