Here's a little math exercise for those of us interested in the clean up of Mountain Creek Lake in Dallas. Add up the yearly profits or income for these polluting entities: Vought Aircraft, Exelon Corp., and the US Navy. You will be adding a billion+billions+billions! Why is there no money to clean up our lake?
The bonuses, expense accounts, travel, and other perks these organizations give executives would far exceed the cost of clean up.
Is this fair? Does non-compliance with enviromental law have any consequence in Texas? Or have these guys and their lawyers out-smarted the law?
Remember, we have the societal-environmental problems we will tolerate.
Location: Dallas, Texas Topics: Dallas Naval Air Station, NWIRP, Mountain Creek Lake, oil and gas drilling, Oak Cliff industry and environment. WHY DOES OAK CLIFF HAVE TWICE THE BREAST CANCER RATE COMPARED TO THE REST OF TEXAS?
